POSITION: Part-Time Lunch Monitor
Chester Academy is seeking a part-time employee for two and a half hours per day to monitor lunch periods in our Kindergarten through Grade 8 learning community. An ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, experience working with children, and have the ability to uphold schoolwide and cafeteria expectations and procedures under the guidance of administration.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist and guide students in following school expectations and cafeteria procedures
Provide supervision of students during lunch
Assist with behavioral management to ensure a safe and orderly environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to carry out school rules and procedures.
Ability to establish a supportive relationship with students.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and staff.
Effective verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
High School diploma or equivalent
Prior experience working with children
Strong communication skills
Salary:
$18.00 per hour / 2.5 hours per day / 182 days following the 26/27 academic calendar
