POSITION: Paraprofessional Classroom Aides - Elementary Buildings, Multiple vacancies

HOURS: 28 Hrs per week

PREFERENCES:

Must have had experience working with children K-5

Must possess the ability to work as a member of a team

Must meet requirements of NCLB (Highly Qualified)

Must have passed or have the ability to pass ParaPro test or have an associate’s degree or 60 hours of credit at an approved College or University.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Comprehensive knowledge of emergent reading, writing, math, social studies and science

Ability to work effectively with a diverse cultural, racial and socioeconomic student population

Skills in using computers to word process and the ability to demonstrate and help young students use the internet

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Must work well with young children

SALARY: Per the Non-Certified Staff Scale
