About us
The Vassalboro Community School serves over 400 students in Grades PK-8. We are seeking a student-centered, enthusiastici interim Assistant Principal for the entire 26-27 School year to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to promote increased student behavioral and academic achievement. They will work closely with the Building Principal to enhance a safe learning environment, foster positive school culture and community relationships and maintain the goals and mission of VCS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Master’s Degree preferred
- Maine teacher certification
- Background and experience with behavioral and academic interventions, student discipline and / or with the MTSS process
- Demonstrate strong follow-through on commitments, deadlines, and responsibilities
- Uphold confidentiality and FERPA requirements with integrity in all circumstances
- Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally in both written and verbal formats
The job is an interim position until the end of the school year. The plan is to repost in the spring for a permanent hire for the 26-27 school year.
