- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Spanish, ESL, or a related field.
- Licensure: Valid Illinois State Educator License (PEL) or Substitute Teaching License.
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Spanish language lessons for grades 6-8 and structured ML support/service delivery for grades 5-8.
- Adapt course materials, implement language-acquisition strategies, and accommodate varying proficiency levels to support all learners.
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and academically rigorous learning environment that honors diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Formative and informative assessment used to track language growth and provide actionable feedback.
- Communicate regularly in Spanish and English with families regarding academic progress and collaborate with classroom teachers and elementary ML teacher.
- Complete daily attendance, maintain records, utilize classroom technology, and fulfill standard supervisory duties as assigned.

Position Overview
Fox River Grove School District 3 is seeking a qualified, Spanish-fluent Long-Term Substitute Teacher to deliver Spanish language instruction for students in Grades 6-8 and provide targeted English language support for Multilingual Learners (ML/ELL) in Grades 5-8. The anticipated start date is January 4, 2027.

Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Salary:
$140 per day. On the 16th consecutive day of continued employment, pay rate is $180 per day.
