When Candidate Found - Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to:
- General floor care and cleaning,
- Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking,
- Waste management,
- Window/Wall cleaning.
- Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems.
- Aid in set-up for special events.
- Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal.
- Aid with snow/ice removal as needed.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery.
- Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dexterity in problem-solving.
- Background check, including fingerprinting.
- Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.
- Pay is $20.27 - $25.72 per hour based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract

About Camden Rockport Elementary School
Camden Rockport Elementary School, nestled in a spacious setting with woods and fields adjacent to the high school, serves approximately 320 students in grades PreK-4 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRES is guided by the EL Education Curriculum and Bridges mathematics, and follows the Responsive Classroom philosophy. CRES has a robust system of supports for students, and features the first nature-based public PreK in the state of Maine.
Position Summary
Camden Rockport Elementary School is now hiring a year-round Custodian for our school. The normal work schedule for this positions is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The successful candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day.
