DAYCARE JOB DESCRIPTION: Rockport Elementary
POSITION TYPE: Daycare Lead
PAY: $18.00/hour, 7.75 hours per day, 7:00AM - 3:15PM, following the school calendar
SUMMARY: Manages Daycare Assistants, operations management, and provides care and supervision for children who attend the daycare program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Manages the program outside the school hours
Manages the program staff and operations
Manages evaluation and assessment procedures for the program
Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training of all staff
Creates the planning and implementation of enrichment opportunities
Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy environment for students.
Creates both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Maintain daily open communication with parents and Aides
Maintain confidentiality
Report any suspect abuse
Meet all applicable licensing regulations
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:
Supervisor manage the operations of the afterschool center or program, from ensuring that the staff
has the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs, to monitoring the environment for health and
safety hazards. In some cases, the director may also be involved with the financial management of
the organization, in terms of budgeting, purchasing, and accounts payable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma a must but prefer General education degree and two years previous experience in childcare.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be certified annually in First Aid/CPR, and professional development requirements
