- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to enhance player performance and confidence.
- Help plan and execute in-game strategies, substitutions, and adjustments.
- Support scouting of opponents and film review to aid player and team development.
- Foster a culture of respect, discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship within the program.
- Supervise athletes during all team activities, including practices, games, travel, and events.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff about schedules, expectations, and team updates.
- Assist in monitoring player academic progress and eligibility.
- Help maintain and organize equipment, uniforms, and program resources.
- Attend and participate in coaches' meetings, clinics, and professional development as required.
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes both on and off the court.
- Assume Head Coach responsibilities when the Head Coach is unavailable.
- Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and state athletic association regulations.
- Previous high school or collegiate coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, offensive and defensive concepts, and game management.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and connect with student-athletes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
