JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Child Nutrition Program Cook

RESPONSIBLE TO: CNP Manager and Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School Diploma or GED with skills in basic Mathematics and reading

Basic computer skills preferred Ability to read and follow directions Ability to handle money

Able to work under pressure, and meeting deadlines

Demonstrate a good attitude for successful performance of the tasks assigned

Annual physical required

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Records number of reimbursable meals served by category.

2. Protects the anonymity of students receiving free or reduced meals.

3. Recognizes the reimbursable meals.

4. Counts the cash received from students and adults who are served and accurately record cash and meal count on appropriate forms.

5. Uses established procedures for meeting ACC claim requirements.

6. Assists in food preparation, service and cleaning if employed for more than two and one-half hours each day.

7. Follows work schedules and work assignments made by the manager.
