Job Description: NHS Assistant Wrestling Coach – Newcastle Public Schools

Position Overview: Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a high-energy, qualified professional to serve as the Assistant Coach for the Wrestling program at Newcastle High School. This role involves working closely with the athletic department to build and sustain a competitive wrestling program while fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage aspects of the NHS Wrestling program, including daily practices, technique development, and tournament/dual meet coaching. Oversee the development of high school student-athletes to ensure program success. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and athletic excellence. Maintain professional conduct in accordance with district policies and represent Newcastle Public Schools positively within the wrestling community.

Qualifications: Extensive experience in wrestling coaching or competing at a high level. Coaching certification as required by the State of Oklahoma and the Newcastle Board of Education. Ability to also work as a classroom teacher is strongly preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a high school program. Ability to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
