- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and assist with cash handling.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
- Take and record required food and equipment temperatures.
- Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Label, date, and properly store food items.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with catering, special events, and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.

Lamphere Schools is contracting the services of Edustaff for food service staff.
Position: 10.5-Month School-Year Position (Contracted through EduStaff)
Location: John Page Middle School- Lamphere Schools
Work schedule: 5.5 hour/day Monday- Friday 9:00am-1:30pm
Pay Rate: $15.25/hour
Reports to: JPMS Kitchen Manager, Director of Food & Nutrition Services, Food Service Coordinator
Position Summary
Lamphere Schools is seeking a dependable, energetic Food Service Kitchen Helper to assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff. This position supports daily kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, meal service, cashiering, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
