Special Education Paraeducator (Learning Strategies)

Under general supervision, assists the classroom teacher in the Learning Strategies program by performing a variety of tasks relating to the instructional, behavioral, and personal assistance needs of students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and one of the following:

Associate's degree; or

Minimum of 60 college credits; or

Passing score on the ParaPathways Assessment

Successful experience working with children preferred, but training will be provided

Position Details:

Start Date: August 19, 2026

10-month, school-year position

8:30 AM - 3:30 PM with a paid lunch (7.0 paid hours per day)

Hourly wage in accordance with the Paraeducators collective bargaining agreement

Sick and Personal time

Eligible for enrollment in non-certified pension plan

Qualifies for health/dental benefits
