CERTIFICATION: DPI License – Physical Education #1530, Adaptive Physical Education #1860
PERCENTAGE: 100% - One Year Limited Term
START DATE: Immediate Vacancy
JOB DESCRIPTION: Qualified Candidates should possess:
· Passion to teach elementary school students;
· Ability to be student centered;
· Able to demonstrate knowledge of student learning needs and styles;
· Ability to align instruction to academic standards
· Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff;
· Able to develop relationships and support all students in their academic, social, and emotional success.
· Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required.

THE DISTRICT: Selected candidate will help to further the WUSD mission to serve our students by providing educational opportunities to promote academic excellence and a lifelong love of learning and to lead families, students and staff in realizing the WUSD vision of inspired learners through student-centered education strengthened by community involvement.

The Watertown School District has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students taught in seven buildings. Schurz Elementary School is a 4K – 5th Grade building with an enrollment of 415 students and has a Dual Language program. LEAP has an enrollment of 57 students.
THE COMMUNITY: The Watertown community has 24,000 residents and is located on the Rock River approximately halfway between Madison and Milwaukee, at the junction of Highways 16, 19, and 26.
