MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Four years of skilled automotive or equipment (mechanical and electrical) repair experience
OR

Two (2) Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications or twelve (12) semester credit hours of post high school general education studies or trade school studies in mechanics.

High School diploma or GED.

Valid Arizona Driver’s license

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

FBI fingerprint background check.

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Physical Examination with lift test (Category B) by one of the clinics with which the District contracts and complete and sign a Medical History form.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with Air Brake, endorsement within 90 days of hire.
-CDL training is provided by the district during the initial 90 days of employment.

Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Arizona Dept. of Transportation (ADOT) Medical Certificate and ADEQ emissions (non-diesel and diesel) testing certificate required within 90 days of hire.

Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
