- One year experience driving a commercial vehicle.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in services to customers.
- Drives bus on assigned route(s) and within established time schedule.
- Drives bus on educational field trips as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor
- Supervises passengers while in transit, maintaining order and discipline. Completes paperwork reporting behavior problems when necessary.
- Practices all safety rules relating to school buses and passengers. Obeys all traffic laws.
- Reports accidents according to established procedures.
- Performs daily maintenance and safety inspection of bus and turns in designated inspection report.
- Maintains prescribed cleanliness standards for buses.
- Assumes personal responsibility for two-way radio, fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, and other such items on the assigned bus.
- Refuels assigned bus as needed.
- Demonstrates a positive, cooperative attitude toward work assignments and requirements.
- Complies with established work rules, ethics and organizational policies.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Licenses/Certificates: Commercial Driver's License-Class B
- With P & S - Endorsements.
- Pass annual physical required for "Bus Driver's Certificate"
- Excellent driving record (indicating 3 or fewer moving violation citations during the past 3 years).

Job Title: Bus Driver
Salary Structure: $17.51+/hr.
Position Contract: 10-Months, Non-Exempt, Support Staff, (187 Days)
