Paraprofessional - Lunch/Recess

Available Lunch/Recess Paraprofessional Position:

Location: Smith Elementary, 3.0 hours per day (10:30 am -1:30 pm)
Pay Rate: Per SMESPA Contract
Date(s): 26-27 School Year

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

High School diploma

Demonstrated aptitude and competency in interacting with students and adults

Ability to work successfully with minimal direct supervision

Responsibilities:

Provide active, attentive, and engaged supervision of students during lunch and recess.

Monitor the cafeteria, playground, and surrounding areas to promote a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment.

Model and reinforce appropriate behaviors, including respectful communication, good manners, sharing, taking turns, following directions, and using equipment appropriately.

Maintain awareness of all students and surroundings at all times.

Assist with transitions to and from lunch and recess.

Communicate significant concerns, injuries, behavioral issues, or incidents to appropriate school staff.
