- CPR/First Aid and AED certification (instructor certification strongly preferred).
- Experience with concussion management and return-to-play protocols.
- Knowledge of Connecticut interscholastic athletic regulations and requirements.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with students, families, coaches, administrators, school nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

The Licensed Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic training and healthcare services to student-athletes participating in the district's interscholastic athletic programs. The primary responsibilities of the position include the development and implementation of programs for the prevention of athletic injuries; evaluation and treatment of injuries; administration of first aid and emergency medical care; development and administration of rehabilitation programs; and coordination of appropriate return-to-activity and return-to-play protocols.
The Athletic Trainer serves as an integral member of the school athletic and student-support team and works collaboratively with student-athletes, coaches, parents/guardians, school nurses, administrators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes.

Salary Range: $52,000-$60,000, plus benefits package
