Position Details
We are seeking an enthusiastic, tech-savvy, and organized Information & Technology Literacy Educational Assistant (ITL EA) to join Country Dale Elementary! In this role, you will work closely with the Library Media Specialist to foster a love for reading, support technology integration, and help young learners navigate library resources and instructional technology.

Manage daily circulation desk operations (checking in/out books, processing holds, managing student accounts).

Shelve books accurately, organize media collections, and maintain an inviting, accessible library space.

Assist with inventory, book processing (labeling, jacketing, repairing damaged materials), and annual collection maintenance.

Create engaging library displays that encourage reading and celebrate diverse literary themes.

Assist elementary students (Grades 4K–5) in finding age-appropriate books and navigating library resources.

Support classroom visits by setting up instructional materials, assisting with read-alouds, or guiding small group activities.

Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment during library sessions.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. (Associate Degree or 48+ college credits preferred, or ability to pass a paraprofessional competency exam).

Experience: Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting preferred. Prior experience in a library, customer service, or tech support role is a plus.

Skills:

Basic proficiency with digital devices Chromebooks and common educational software/Google Workspace.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for library management.
