- Teach wrestling fundamentals, techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, accountability, and personal growth.
- Provide meaningful opportunities for student-athletes to develop their skills and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Wrestling Coach and program staff to maintain consistency throughout the Waseca Wrestling program.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, transportation, and other team activities.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes, families, coaches, staff, and administration.
- Follow all Waseca Public Schools and Minnesota State High School League policies, guidelines, and expectations.
- Model and promote the values and expectations of the Waseca Way.
- Previous wrestling coaching or competitive experience preferred.
- Knowledge of wrestling fundamentals, techniques, and rules.
- Experience working with junior high or high school student-athletes preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and families.
- Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the mat.
- Must meet all Waseca Public Schools and MSHSL coaching requirements.

Position Overview
Waseca Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic C Squad Wrestling Coach to support the continued development of the Waseca Wrestling program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Head Wrestling Coach and coaching staff to provide a positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate experience for our student-athletes.
