Chargers Kids Club High School Aide

Charger Kids Club is looking for motivated, responsible high school students to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs)! This is a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience working with children, supporting students with diverse needs, and developing valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership.

As a PCA, you will work alongside experienced staff to provide individualized assistance with daily activities, support students' social-emotional development, and help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all children can learn, grow, and succeed.

Training will be provided! No prior experience is necessary—just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for helping children succeed.

Duties:

Provide individualized support to children with physical, developmental, or behavioral needs.

Assist children with daily activities, routines, and personal care needs as directed.

Support children during play, crafts, group activities, and transitions.

Encourage positive behavior, social interactions, and independence.

Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.

Work alongside lead staff to provide support based on individual children's needs.

Assist with general classroom activities and responsibilities as needed under adult supervision.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Current high school student (age 15+)

Interest in working with young children

Reliable, responsible, and able to follow directions

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Looking for students who want to work year-round, and are limited in activities

Schedule:

Flexible after-school hours, school breaks, and summer opportunities

Interested in the work program for before-school or after-school hours

Hours and days will vary based on school needs and student availability
