Open Until Filled - Part-time .5 FTE Adult Basic Education Educational Assistant working with students 17 and over who are learning English.
- Approximately 20 hours a week (8:15-1:45, M-Th.) Additional evening hours available (5:45 - 8:00, T & W)
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction, one-on-one instruction, and small group instruction.
- Assist students individually or in a group for the purpose of reinforcing learning concepts taught by a certified teacher.
- Provide general classroom support; making copies of classroom materials; help with attendance.
- Work as a team member with other professionals.
- Attend training workshops and other school meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma
- Good communication skills
- Works well with a diverse group of people
- Flexible with job assignments
- Bilingual a plus but not necessary
