JOB SUMMARY
Serve as Teacher of Record for an assigned elementary caseload, coordinate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide specially designed instruction that supports student growth and participation in the school community.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs; delivering individual, small-group, and classroom instruction; monitoring progress and adjusting instruction; coordinating case conferences and required records; providing accommodations, modifications, and positive behavior supports; guiding paraprofessionals; and collaborating with families, teachers, related service providers, and administrators. Maintain student confidentiality and meet required timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
• Valid Indiana teaching license with appropriate special education licensure, or eligibility to obtain the required licensure.
• Knowledge of IEP development, specially designed instruction, progress monitoring, and positive behavior supports.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; commitment to high expectations, inclusive practices, and individual student success.
Elementary special education experience is preferred. Qualified candidates beginning their teaching careers are encouraged to apply.
