immediately - Salary: $26.10 – $30.82 / hour per the contract between the North Branford Board of Education and Local 1303-54 of Connecticut Council AFSCME, AFL-CIO (Custodians)

- Repairs & Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting and basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and tile repairs.
- Safety & Inspections: Conduct routine preventive maintenance and equipment inspections following safety codes.
- Logistics: Set up and break down spaces for school activities, sports, and community events.
- Emergency Response: Assist with severe-weather operations (snow plowing, salting) and weekend/evening emergency maintenance.
- Custodial Support: Assist with heavy floor maintenance (stripping, waxing) as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Trade certificate preferred).
- Experience: 3–5 years of commercial or institutional building maintenance.
- License: Must possess a valid Connecticut driver's license. Trade license is a plus.
- Screenings: Pass a criminal, Fingerprint and DCF background checks.
- Physical & Schedule: Ability to lift heavy objects, work on ladders, work indoors/outdoors, and maintain a flexible schedule for weather emergencies.
