Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience)
Two years of study at an institution of higher education; or an Associate’s degree (or higher); or demonstrate through a formal state or local academic assessment (ParaPro Assessment) knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics, as appropriate and knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate. Basic computer skills required (e.g., ability to use email).

Key Responsibilities:
-Support a student with academic, behavioral, social, and daily living needs.
-Assist with implementing instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of teachers and administrators.
-Promote student independence while ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
-Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent (min) required
-Passing school on the Para-Professional exam / 60 college credit hours / Associates Degree preferred.
-Experience working with children preferred.
-Ability to build positive relationships, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team.
