Position Detail

For the 2026-2027 season

Pay rate: Per Schedule C

Qualifications

Dedication to promoting sportsmanship, managing team logistics, and supervising student-athletes during practices, games, and travel.

Strong understanding of high school baseball rules, position-specific fundamentals, situational strategy, and skill development.

Previous experience coaching high school, travel/club, or middle school baseball, or high school varsity playing experience.

Ability to effectively teach, motivate, and prepare sub-varsity student-athletes for advancement to the varsity level.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with the Varsity Head Coach, athletic director, players, and parents.

Willingness to organize and lead structured practices, position drills, and intrasquad game scenarios.

Commitment to completing required district and MHSAA requirements, field preparation, and roster management.

Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to the first contest).

Pass a State of Michigan background check/fingerprint clearance.
