Position Detail

For the 2026-2027 season

Pay rate: Per Schedule C

Qualifications

Strong understanding of fundamental baseball mechanics, field positions, basic rules, and skill development.

Previous experience coaching middle school, youth, or travel baseball, or playing experience at the high school level.

Ability to effectively teach, motivate, and mentor early adolescents (ages 12–14) in a positive environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with the Varsity Baseball Coach, athletic director, student-athletes, and parents.

Dedication to promoting sportsmanship, managing team logistics, and supervising student-athletes during practices, games, and travel.

Willingness to organize and lead age-appropriate practice sessions, core skill drills, and basic game strategy.

Commitment to completing required district administrative duties, field prep assistance, and safety protocols.

Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to the first contest).

Pass a State of Michigan background check/fingerprint clearance.
