Part-Time Building Aide(5-6)

Summary:
We are seeking part-time Building Aide(s) to provide support to students and teachers in our intermediate school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a desire to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position is responsible for providing assistance to students in the building; specifically, in monitoring student behavior, to keep order in the cafeteria and ensure that children are safe on the playground and using the equipment properly, and to provide student and building support through the school day. The incumbent works with other members of the Department in meeting department goals and objectives in support of the Manheim Township School District’s (“MTSD”) mission to provide a social and educational environment for students.

Position Type:
School-term - M-F 5.75 hours per day (Hours 8:30 AM-2:45 PM)

Responsibilities:
- Supporting a team of six teachers
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other activities as needed
- Clerical work as needed (copying, preparing supplies, labeling, filing, etc.)
- Support students in the classroom
- Other duties as assigned by the school principal or teacher

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
