The At-Risk Social Worker provides social work services and individualized support to students who may be at risk of academic failure, disengagement, or other barriers to educational success. The Social Worker works with students, families, and school staff to address social, emotional, behavioral, and personal challenges that impact student achievement, attendance, and well-being. Responsibilities include providing counseling and intervention, case management, academic mentoring, advocacy, referrals to community resources, and progress monitoring. The Social Worker also supports students and families experiencing challenges such as family conflict, housing instability, legal involvement, substance abuse, parenting responsibilities, and other circumstances that may affect educational success.
