- High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to manage groups of young children with patience, kindness, and structure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool-aged children during before and after school hours.
- Work alongside the lead instructor to provide consistent care and support for all students.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families.
- Collaborate with preschool staff to maintain a structured and positive daily routine.

West Bloomfield Preschool Academy, part of the West Bloomfield School District, is seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Before and Aftercare Assistant Instructor to join our early childhood team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children.
