School Union 69, composed of the PreK-8 schools of Hope, Appleton, and Lincolnville in beautiful
Mid-coast Maine, is seeking full-time Payroll/HR Coordinator. This is a year-round position.
This position is responsible for Payroll and Human Resources in all 3 districts. The Payroll/HR Coordinator completes and submits payroll and makes all federal and state tax payments bi-weekly; reports MainePERS (state retirement) monthly; makes all deduction payments bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly as needed; completes all fiscal and calendar year end tasks. The Payroll/HR Coordinator is integral in the hiring process, generates all employment contracts, maintains employee leave balances, answers employee questions daily, ensures the district is following association contracts, as well as varied other responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have either a related degree or equivalent work experience. They will possess excellent communication and computer skills and have an understanding of the payroll process and bookkeeping methods. In addition, they will have knowledge of HR laws and practices and will be able to work in an office team environment of shared responsibilities.
The starting pay for this position ranges from $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Health insurance, dental insurance, and 403b retirement plan are available benefits. Salary and benefits are reviewed annually.
