Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach

Job Details: Job Location: Charlotte Campus - Charlotte, NC 28277, Position Type: Seasonal, Charlotte Latin School is seeking a Varsity Girl’s Assistant Soccer Coach to begin February 2027. The main duties and responsibilities include:

Participate in conducting tryouts
Assist the head coach with running drills, practices, and managing player feedback
Organize and direct small group practice and activities
Assist during all games (both home and away)
Assist with ensuring safety and well being of all student-athletes
Assist with parent and athlete communication
Assist Head Coach with program development

Qualifications: Experience

Experience as a coach on a school team or club team, and/or college/competitive high school soccer player experience

Skills and Availability

A positive, upbeat coaching style
Exhibit a love of working with children in this age group
Exhibit a commitment to wellness and working with the whole child
Willing and able to resolve conflicts with colleagues, parents and between students
The ability to build a strong rapport with colleagues and serve as a collaborative team player
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
After school, availability starting at 3:30 PM for practices and games

Working Conditions and Environment

Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor heat and cold temperatures.
Ability to work long or odd hours, as needed.
