The Milton Area School District is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a Custodian. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.
Position: Custodian
Location: Milton Area School District
Schedule: Full-Time
Classification: Classified Employee
- Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout assigned District facilities.
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and other areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax, and maintain floors as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling and maintain appropriate waste disposal practices.
- Assist with room setup and breakdown for school activities, meetings, and events.
- Monitor facilities for maintenance, safety, or security concerns and report issues appropriately.
- Assist with snow and ice removal and other seasonal duties as assigned.
- Properly use and maintain custodial equipment, supplies, and cleaning products.
- Follow District safety procedures and applicable policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate should be dependable, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean school environment. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with custodial work, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Successful candidates must obtain all required employment clearances in accordance with Pennsylvania law and Milton Area School District requirements.
Compensation and benefits will be provided in accordance with the Milton Area School District Classified Employee Handbook and applicable Board-approved wage schedules.
