Description:
Spruce Mountain Elementary School seeks a 4th Grade Teacher. The successful candidate will have strong classroom management skills, the ability to make connections with students and families, a willingness to work collaboratively with grade level and content area teachers and:
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with grade level curriculum and learning standards.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Implement classroom routines, schoolwide expectations, and positive behavior supports.
- Collaborate with grade level colleagues, educational technicians, and other school personnel to support student success.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment for every child.
Qualifications:
- Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) For more information please visit: https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/fingerprinting
- Current 020 Teaching Certification.
- Elementary education experience is preferred.
