PARA/COLLEGE AND CAREER ADVISOR

Para/College and Career Advisor, Declo High School, Declo, Idaho

We are seeking a positive, organized, and student-centered individual to provide academic support to high school students while also assisting with college and career readiness. This position will work closely with students, staff, families, and community partners to help students succeed in high school and prepare for their next steps.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individual and small-group academic support

Assist students with organization, assignments, credit completion, and academic success

Help students explore college, career, trade school, military, and workforce opportunities

Assist with college applications, scholarships, financial aid resources, resumes, and job applications

Share information about scholarships, career opportunities, college visits, and important deadlines

Support college and career events, job shadowing, and career exploration activities

Work closely with the counselor, administration, and teachers to support student needs

Assist with student supervision and other school duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have an Associates Degree or a minimum of 32 college credits or pass the ParaPro test.

Strong communication, organization, and technology skills are preferred.

Experience working with high school students or knowledge of college and career planning is helpful but not required.
