10/20/2026 - Valid Texas Commercial Driver License with a "P" and "S" Endorsements: Class B or Class A
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
- Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties necessary to drive a school bus
- The ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management control over groups of children
- The ability to speak and communicate positively to passengers as well as teachers, staff and parents
- The ability to read, write and understand maps and other written instructions
- The ability to cooperate with fellow workers and promote harmony in the Transportation Department and District
- Must have empathy for students of all ages
- Must have a clean record and pass a criminal background check
- Experience preferred, but not required
