Show Choir Assistant Director (Spring Semester Stipend Position)

The Show Choir Assistant Director will assist the Show Choir Director in developing and leading the South Granville High School show choir band ("combo") during the competitive season.

Responsibilities include:

Recruit, organize, and rehearse student instrumentalists for the show choir combo.

Direct and prepare the combo for rehearsals, performances, and regional competitions.

Collaborate with the Show Choir Director in planning and implementing musical performances.

Coordinate instrumentation and musical arrangements appropriate for show choir literature.

Attend scheduled rehearsals, performances, competitions, and related events during the spring semester.

Foster a positive, collaborative learning environment while maintaining high musical standards.

Perform other duties related to the success of the show choir program as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

North Carolina teaching license in Music Education preferred, but not required.

Experience directing instrumental ensembles and working with student musicians.

Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Season: January–April
