- Help plan and lead practices that strengthen soccer fundamentals, teamwork, conditioning, and competitive readiness.
- Assist with game preparation, strategy, and player development.
- Build positive relationships and promote a culture of effort, accountability, inclusion, and sportsmanship.
- Support the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes.
- Assist with equipment, supervision, communication, and program organization.
- Collaborate with the head coach, activities department, and school administration.
- Follow all applicable school, conference, and state athletic association rules and expectations.
- Prior soccer coaching or playing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development, and game strategy.
- Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or ability to obtain it before the season.
