- Demonstrated knowledge of technology education, engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, and project-based learning (Project Lead The Way certification preferred).
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience integrating STEM, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and design thinking into instruction.
- Experience with 3D printing, CAD software systems (Fusion, Onshape, Tinkercad), and industry-standard manufacturing equipment.
- Experience teaching introductory-level manufacturing, engineering, or similar courses at the secondary level.

POSITION: Long-term Substitute – Technology Education Teacher
LOCATION: Southington High School
Anticipated dates: December 7, 2026 through March 12, 2027
SALARY: Per union contract
This position is anticipated to be over sixty (60) days and is covered by Appendix B of the Southington Education Association contract.
