Custodian

Job Details: Job Location: Durand Inc, School - Woodbury, NJ 08096, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly,
Routine cleaning of all classrooms.
Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include the cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and order additional supplies as needed.
Assume the responsibility for opening and closing building each school day.
Establish procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
Regulate heat, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to provide appropriate temperatures and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity.
Keep the school building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas neat and clean.
Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
Perform minor building repairs as needed and report major repairs needed to the head custodian.
Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the principal.
Assist in any emergency work that may arise when needed.
Hours are Monday - Friday 11am - 7pm.

Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without any assistance.
Experience in waxing and stripping floors is a plus.
