Substitute Teacher

The Substitute Teacher shall:

1. Possess and maintain a current Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board license, Classroom

Substitute Permit or other credential recognized by PTSB as authorizing the individual to serve as a

substitute teacher.

2. Meet all District employment, background-check, and other legal requirements applicable to the

position.

3. Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.

4. Demonstrate the ability to work respectfully and effectively with students, staff, families, and

administrators.

5. Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal directions and to implement lesson plans and

classroom procedures.

6. Possess the ability to provide appropriate educational activities when lesson plans are unavailable,

incomplete, or cannot reasonably be implemented.

7. Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and dependability.
