Flynn Elementary School in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable lunch/recess monitor who enjoys working with children while maintaining a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Flynn school community and may already be working part-time in the district.

Duties

Establish positive relationships with all students equally.

Teach and reinforce cafeteria rules.

Carry out the Champ Card positive reinforcement system.

Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors, teachers, and administration.

Work Hours
This is a school-year position that begins August 27th, 2025.

Hours are 11:30am - 1:00pm on every school day. May vary depending on school schedule.

Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling objects

Standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, balancing

Possible exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, or hazardous materials

Work at heights or around electrical/mechanical equipment

Basic sense of touch, smell, and taste

Works independently and collaboratively with regular face-to-face interaction
