Job Summary: Plan and provide counseling services to special education students who demonstrate an educational
need. Evaluate students and provide therapeutic interventions to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments
that interfere with student's ability to derive benefit from the educational program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in counseling or similar field from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas school counseling certificate or equivalent licensure and ability to obtain Texas school
counseling certification
Current License in one of the following areas :
Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
Licensed Professional Counselor
Licensed Specialist is School Psychology
Other license approved by Human Resources
