Long Term Substitute - Agricultural Science Teacher

Summary
Deer River High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill a Long Term Substitute position in Agricultural Science. This temporary role is essential for maintaining the continuity of education for our high school students during the absence of the regular teacher. The position is available ASAP.

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons in accordance with the established curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, including those related to safety and discipline.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field, preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification in Science for high school level or short call substitute license.
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and best practices in education.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and foster a supportive classroom environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
