Paraprofessional (37.5 hrs/week)

Grades Kindergarten - 6th (total of 20 students)

School Year 2026-2027

Strange School, a one room elementary school, has an opening for a paraprofessional. This position would cover grades Kindergarten through sixth. A variety of responsibilities would include assisting students with classwork, working with small groups of students, monitoring student engagement, supervising recess, filing student work, occasional clerical duties, participating in school field trips, assist in maintaining a good learning environment, and assisting the classroom teacher as assigned.

Salary

$16/per hour, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

186 contracted days per year

Requirements

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an elementary school is ideal but working with children in a similar environment will be considered.

Qualifications

Proficient understanding of elementary level ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies

Very strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent social skills, professionalism and patience

Must be capable of multitasking and prioritizing

Strong organizational skills

Proficient with basic classroom technology

Provide a fun, creative learning environment
