Position Summary

A full time, tenure track Middle School Math teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, effective 9/1/2026.

The Guttenberg School District is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate educator with a love for mathematics to join our school community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective instruction in math.

Develop lesson plans aligned with the NJSLS and district curriculum.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, educational technologies, and assessment methods to enhance student learning.

Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate and timely grading records.

Foster a classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, collaboration, and active participation.

Participate in yearly professional development in an effort to meet district-approved goals and objectives.

Collaborate with a math grade level partner to align pacing and scope and sequence.

Qualifications

Required: Middle School with Subject-Matter Specialization: Mathematics in Grades 5-8

Endorsement Code 1102

Classroom experience preferred.

Bilingual speaking abilities are a plus.
