The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), with its central office located in Wayne, New Jersey has an opening for a Part-Time Teacher for the Jersey City Schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications:
- NJ certifications required
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Criminal History background check
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
Responsibilities:
- Experience with presentation of lessons and provide access to student learning
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with staff and families
- Ability to communicate effective in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community
- Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive)
- Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities; and
- Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor
Salary Range: As per negotiated contract and commensurate with experience as per the established PCESCTA Salary Guide ranging from $62,675 - $71,125 annual salary (pro-rated for part-time schedule). Sick and Personal days are included per PCESCTA contract.
