Position: Educational Technician (ed. tech.) I,II or III
School Level: Pre-K through Grade 8
School Year: 2026-27
The Lamoine School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Educational Technician to join our
supportive team serving students in a small, community-centered Pre-K to Grade 8 school on the beautiful coast of Maine.
Responsibilities Include:
* Providing academic and behavioral support to students with IEPs, under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.
* Supporting students in inclusive classroom settings, small groups, or one-on-one.
* Implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
* Assisting with data collection and documentation of student progress.
* Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to meet student needs.
* Fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications/Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate:
* Maine Department of Education Ed Tech II or III Authorization ( or willingness to obtain).
* Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.
* Genuine interest in working with children!
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of situations and settings.
* Strong work ethic and commitment to the program.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Pay Range: Dependent upon certification and experience- $20.57-$27.60
