Position: Part-Time Custodian (Year-round)

Locations: Mid-Ohio Valley Region, Mid-Ohio Valley Adult Education location at St. Joseph Landing in Parkersburg, WV (5th and 6th floors)
Salary: $15 an hour
Schedule: Weekly hours will vary depending on various factors, but 15-20 hours a week is expected to be typical. Schedule is flexible, as long as most work is complete when class is not in session.
Requirements & Expectations:
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Prior cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality involved in an educational setting
- Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
- Work effectively as a member of a team
- Demonstrate an attitude of mutual respect with colleagues
- Exhibit ethical behavior and demonstrate good work habits, including punctuality and attendance
Resume Must Include:
- List of educational institutions attended, course of study, dates attended, and certificates earned.
- List of employers for the past ten years, including address and name of
immediate supervisor(s).
- Description of responsibilities/work experiences in previous employment.

POSITION: Custodian
REPORTS TO: MSESC Executive Director
LOCATIONS: Mid-Ohio Valley Region
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, dusting surfaces, sanitizing, etc.
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
- Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and restock disposables (ex: soap, toilet paper)
- Wipe mirrors and windows
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)
- Report major damages
- Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and following all security protocols
- Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (moving heavy items, rearranging rooms, etc.)
- Other duties, as assigned by Regional Coordinator or designee

Confirmed by the MSESC Governing Council
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position isdependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
SALARY:
$15 per hour
