QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities – Birth-2

QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED:

Experience in a self-contained classroom; students in grades K-2, students with disabilities.

Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. Learning Standards and differentiation to ensure student understanding and comprehension.

Desire and knowledge to embed structured learning experiences around the five broad developmental domains.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to colaborate with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration.

Evidence of ability to implement inclusive learning activities and support an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Knowledge and evidence of Individualized Education Programming and subsequent document development.

Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom; behavior intervention supports and data collection when needed.

Commitment to ongoing team development, curriculum and professional development and instructional technology.
