Job Summary:

The Hastings Area School System seeks a candidate for an LRE para position under the HESPA agreement to work with students in the Level III program.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

● Provide academic support to students with IEPs within the general education setting.

● Reinforce teacher-directed instruction through small-group or individualized support.

● Support implementation of accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs.

● Collect data on student progress toward goals as directed by the special education teacher.

● Implement positive behavior support strategies and reinforcement systems as directed.

● Assist students in developing self-regulation, communication, and social-emotional skills.

Qualifications:

● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and students

● Experience working with children, especially students with disabilities, preferred.

● Ability to follow instructional plans, collect data, and support student needs.

● Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
