- Experience in food service preferred
- Pleasant, tactful and able to represent the District in a positive manner
- Able to follow directions, plan tasks, and work independently
- Able to work cooperatively and effectively with co-workers, students and District staff
- Prepare food for serving - this includes by way of example fruits, salads and condiments
- Prepare the serving line
- Serve lunches, collect money and keep lines properly stocked
- Clean-up of kitchen, serving area, storerooms and lunchrooms as needed
- Check, rotate and put away stock
- The incumbent in this position will primarily work at the High School, but will be required to assist at other buildings as needed
- Any and all other duties as assigned by the director/designee

DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICT:
The Brandon School District is a mid-size school district nestled in Northwest Oakland County. The district has approximately 900 students from preschool through 5th grade between the two elementary schools, approximately 500 students at the middle school level and approximately 600 at the high school. Brandon is also home to the Summit Virtual School. This small, tight-knit community has a strong connection to its schools and is passionate about the education of its youth. Brandon High School sends 80-85% of its graduates to post-secondary schools each year, it was ranked in the 82nd percentile of all schools in the State on the most recent top-to-bottom rankings and it was awarded as a Silver Medal Winner by the US News.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Long Term Sub Kitchen Assistants will, as directed, perform duties in the following areas which are listed by way of example and are not to be considered all inclusive.
REPORTS TO: Food Services Director
WORKDAY/WEEK: Monday through Friday: 8:45 am to 12:45 pm for approximately 6 weeks
STARTING DATE: ASAP
COMPENSATION: $13.75 per hour, through Edustaff
